Timor Leste faces a severe malnutrition crisis, ranking among the highest globally in malnutrition rates. Nearly half of the children in the rural areas live below the poverty line. Insufficient nutrient intake due to suboptimal breastfeeding and feeding practices, results in many children aged 6 to 23 months lacking the recommended dietary diversity.
