Nepal hit yet again by 7.3 Magnitude Earthquake
World Vision is mobilising staff and resources to assist communities impacted by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake, which hit Nepal today, Saturday April 25th. At this time there are reports of around 700 deaths. Aftershocks are continuing. -
Cyclone Pam: Responding to needs in Vanuatu
Last weekend, a category 5 storm, Cyclone Pam, pounded the islands of Vanuatu with heavy rain and winds. World Vision has started distribution of pre-positioned kits of shelter materials, hygiene supplies, and kitchen/cooking sets. -
Typhoon Hagupit Relief Response
Typhoon Hagupit -- its name means "lash" in Filipino -- moved west-northwest and targeted the city of Legazpi, just north of where the storm made landfall on Saturday, 6 December. World Vision assessment teams are on the ground in Tacloban, just hours after powerful Typhoon Hagupit slammed the region still reeling from last year’s deadly Typhoon Haiyan.
