Latrines for 300 families to stop open defecation

In the mountainous rural district of Nam Giang, Vietnam, it's hard to imagine going to the toilet still means walking into a field, a forest, or the edge of a river, with no privacy, no safety, and no protection from the diseases that come with it. 38% of households do not have access to hygienic latrines leading to open defecation and contamination risks. The lack of sfae, private sanitation facilities in the community results in child protection issues for children especially girls.

This gift contributes to the building of safe and sanitary personal latrines for 300 families to stop open defcation and prevent diseases. The latrines give them a safe, private place to go, right at home, providing for cleaner surroundings, better health, and a community with a safer, healthier daily life.
