Equipment for a family to build livelihood

In Kathmandu valley in Bagmati of Nepal, most families get by on informal, day-to-day work, jobs with no security and earnings that can shift or disappear without warning. When income isn't enough, or simply doesn't come one day, families are often left with no choice at all, but to subject their children to child labour.

This gift provides families with livelihood tools such as a food cart, sewing machines, to start a small business, giving a family a steadier source of income. With that stability, children no longer have to carry the weight of their family's survival, and can continue to be in school. This gift doesn't just support a business, it protects a childhood.
