Clean water systems for 1,500 villagers
In the mountainous district of Nam Giang, in Vietnam, only 61% of households have access to basic drinking water. Families rely on untreated sources like rivers, ponds, and shallow wells for their daily needs. Some of these families have to travel over 4 kilometers to fetch water. The lack of clean water puts children especially at risk, exposing them to waterborne illnesses that can affect their growth and keep them out of school.
This gift brings clean water supply for drinking, cooking and washing nearer to households, reaching 1,500 villagers. For children, that means fewer illnesses, more energy to play and learn. For families, it also means less time and effort spent collecting water each day, time that can go toward work, caregiving, and other essentials that keep a household running.
