Abaca textile machines for 200 farmers

For generations, farmers in North Cotobato, Philippines have grown abaca, but many have only ever sold it as raw fibre, earning just a fraction of its total value. The value-add lies in what abaca can produce. It can be woven into bags, mats, textiles, and other products that sell for more at the market. Without a weaving machine, that opportunity stays out of reach.

This gift equips 200 farmers with the tools to weave abaca fibre into value-added, sellable products. Families gain a craft of their own, one that keeps more of every harvest's full value for sustainable income.
