You ran, walked, hiked, and rallied your loved ones so children no longer have to walk long distances each day just to collect water. Together, you turned your steps into something far greater, clean, safe water for children and families who need it most.
Because of you, 12,033 children across communities in Cambodia, Kenya, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Zambia will have access to clean water.
Your support is helping to bring sustainable, reliable access to clean water to communities across Asia and Africa. New and rehabilitated water systems are now serving homes, schools and health facilities, reducing the time and burden of collecting water each day.
For children, this means more time in the classroom, more moments to play, and the chance to simply enjoy their childhood. Families are better able to maintain good health and hygiene, while entire communities are equipped with a dependable source of clean water that will serve them for years to come.
Every participant, every fundraiser and every donation helped make this possible.

“As a girl, we were expected to support the family with most of the household chores. Fetching water is one of the household chores that I had to do to support my mother. However, this was particularly difficult as I had to walk more than half an hour every time to collect water. During monsoon time, it was even more challenging to walk on the slippery road. Now, we have drinking water tap at our own home, making it so easy to get water now. I no longer have to wake up early to fetch water now.” — Bhesh Kumari, 12 years old

Each system will draw from a separate water source and include infrastructure to collect, store and distribute water through pipelines and community water points. Measures will also be put in place to protect the water sources and support a safe, reliable water supply for years to come. All works are expected to be fully completed by July 2027.
“Our estate has been without sufficient water connections for the past 30 years. Because of this, it is very difficult for our people to get clean drinking water. We must walk long distances just to fetch water, and it has become a huge daily struggle. World Vision is providing a new water supply for our community. This will be a great blessing and very useful for the future generations.” — Poonkudi, mother of 3
