Strengthen protection against child labour

Nepal is urbanizing faster than almost anywhere in Asia, yet 1.1 million children remain trapped in child labour, some in its most dangerous forms, brick kilns, carpet factories, and entertainment venues that put their safety directly at risk. Laws against child labour exist, but on the ground, protection systems are often inadequate to properly identify children at risks, respond quickly, and get them out of harm's way.

This gift strengthens child protection advocacy and community networks in Kathmandu Valley of Bagmati in Nepal, helping local leaders and communities identify children at risk early, intervene, and connect them with the support they need to leave hazardous work behind and return to school.
