Child-Friendly Spaces to help 1,125 earthquake-affected kids to heal

On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck north-central Venezuela less than a minute apart, followed by more than 30 aftershocks, adding trauma to a country already worn down by years of economic collapse and mass displacement. For children who've lost homes, routines, and in many cases, parents who migrated in search of work, the emotional toll runs deep.

This gift creates 15 child-friendly spaces for 1,125 children to play, learn, and heal from what they've been through, alongside trained facilitators who understand what mental recovery really takes. For a child carrying this much upheaval, it can be the first real step back toward feeling safe, and being a child again.
