Volunteers

Volunteer opportunities are available with World Vision Singapore – from helping out at the office to promoting World Vision’s programmes in shopping malls. From students who want to do something meaningful during their school holidays, to retirees with a passion to help change lives, our volunteers come from all walks of life.

Our volunteers are a valuable support to many programs and administrative tasks within World Vision, contributing their time, talent and energy to help change the lives of children and families living in poverty.

There are plenty of opportunities for volunteering at World Vision. Here are some ways you can help:

Photographers, Videographers and Video Editors

Stories are memories weaved in imagery.
If you believe you have what it takes to tell vivid stories through the eyes of a camera, here’s an opportunity to volunteer your talent.
World Vision is looking for passionate photographers, videographers and video editors who are willing to take up this challenge, to narrate stories of need and hope through your lens.

Graphic or Web Designers

A good picture speaks more than a thousand words.
If you have the talent to create captivating graphics to communicate World Vision’s vital messages to help the needy, here’s a chance to showcase and volunteer your talent.World Vision welcome students or professionals with adequate knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or any other relevant design software.

30 Hour Famine Camp

Join hundreds of other young people fighting global poverty with World Vision, through 30 Hour Famine camp – you can be involved as a group leaders, facilitators, logistics helpers, newspapers collectors, photographers, camp reporters, backstage helpers, etc.

Next year, the Famine Camp will be held in March 2009.

Office-based

Use your skills and experience to help out at our office – from data entry, to filing, to mailing out receipts and translating English articles to Chinese for magazines and NewsVision.

You could even use specialized skills like database management or experience with particular computer programs to support World Vision's activities.

Child Sponsorship Promotion

Volunteer help is always required to support our many Child Sponsorship booths in shopping malls, especially at special events like Tree-Of-Life.

You might have seen the World Vision booth in shopping malls - volunteers play a big role in their success. Many volunteers help out at these booths for a couple of days to weeks each year for a specific campaign, such as the GoForth Mission Week in April/May, Tree-Of-Life in November/December.

Volunteer helps to promote World Vision’s merchandises and programmes to the public.

Inspire-A-Friend

Share your joy and experience as a Child Sponsor with your family and friends. We organize Inspire-A-Friend workshops to equip sponsors like you, who desire to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to share about World Vision’s Child Sponsorship Programme to others.

Performers

If you or your group has a specific performing talent – magic, singing, dancing, etc. We want you! We need volunteers with these talents to perform for our Famine Concert (March) and Christmas High-Tea (December).
