TYPHOON KETSANA

Typhoon Ketsana swept across Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, killing more than 300 people, and devastating the lives of millions. Many are still trying to recover from the trauma and pain of losing their loved ones, assets and livelihoods after watching their entire lives wash away.

In the wake of the Typhoon Ketsana, World Vision in Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos need a total of US $2.5 million to provide food, medication, blankets and clean water to the many victims that lie in the path of this destruction catastrophe. Children, now faced with many challenges to their survival and well-being will also need protection from further injury, disease and neglect, will also receive help through Child Friendly Spaces that offer tham a safe place to play, begin emotional healing and re-establish a normal routine.
