TYPHOON MORAKOT RELIEF FUND

Typhoon Morakot pummeled Taiwan on August 7 – 8, causing wide-spread damage in southern and eastern Taiwan. Although the winds of Typhoon Morakot were not as severe, the storm caused massive rainfalls and landslides, damaging transportation infrastructure, submerging many homes and forcing residents to evacuate and stay in shelters or find temporary housing.

In the wake of Typhoon Morakot, World Vision is urgently appealing for donations to provide shelter, food and clean water for the thousands of people who have been evacuated from their homes, and to ensure that children are secure and have a safe place where they are cared for.
