On 24 May 2024, World Vision Singapore hosted the One Day Without Shoes workshop for primary and secondary students in Singapore Chinese Girls’ School (SCGS).Students got to make their own shoes with cardboard and tape, and set off on their walk around campus literally in the shoes of children who live in vulnerable places. 

On 10th July 2024, World Vision Singapore commemorated its 40th Anniversary with a Charity Dinner raising over $270,000 to support children affected by conflict.

Once a child labourer, 10-year-old Kawsar is now stepping into school for the very first time. With the help of World Vision, Kawsar and his family embark on a journey towards a promising future.

Faiza, 16 years old, was once a child labourer working in a leather factory. Through World Vision's sewing training programme, Faiza is now shaping her own future with each stitch.

More than 60 youths from various secondary schools, pre-tertiary institutions and universities walked in the shoes of children living in conflict and climate crises at the 30 Hour Famine 2024: Hunger Trials on 18 and 19 May 2024. Against the backdrop of Fort Canning, a major location in Singapore's conflict history, participants joined the signature 30-hour fast from food while completing team-based challenges that enabled them to be more informed and empathetic advocates for vulnerable children.
