“Happiness came when I was encouraged to join the child sponsorship programme. I received love and care from my sponsor to overcome difficulties in my life. My father has difficulty walking on his two disabled legs. My mother also has a disability in her tongue. Because of this, my parents did not have stable jobs. It was difficult having enough food every day, let alone additional funds to pay my school fees. Through child sponsorship, we received livelihood support from World Vision, we were given a sewing machine and materials that enabled my parents to work. My father now no longer frets about our school fees and believes we have brighter futures ahead,” says Ngoc, 14 years old.

Trip Details

Date: 22 to 26 January 2024 

Trip Fee: SGD480/- (Covers land transport, accommodation and meals. Flights are excluded from the fee)

Destination: Son Tra, Vietnam 

No of Pax: 20 Pax

The trip itinerary will include: 

Day 1:

• Flight to Danang and Area Programme Briefing Update 
• Visit Celebrating Families Session where we equip parents and caregivers to provide a safe environment for children 

Day 2: 

• Visit Youth Impact Clubs 
• Visit Livelihood Support Groups 

Day 3: 

• Visit Most Vulnerable Families to learn more on the support that they have benefitted from to help them provide for their children 
• Visit Community Development Initiatives that provide children with lifeskills training, child protection and child-friendly learning spaces 

Day 4

• Meet Sponsored Children and Their Families 
• Lunch and Games Together 

Day 5: 

• Flight back to Singapore

Kindly note that flights and travel insurance are to be purchased by the tripper individually.   

There will be a compulsory pre-trip briefing on 9 November 2023 over ZOOM for all participants.
