Victor Wong (or more popularly known as品冠) in the Chinese music market is a Malaysian Chinese singer who has successfully made his name in the Taiwan and regional music scene. Victor formed a duo male music group named 无印良品 (wu yin liang pin) together with his college mate, Michael Wong when they first started out as singers under Rock Records in 1995.The duo attained much success and arguably became the first Malaysians to acheive much success in the Taiwan music scene. Their albums managed to hit the top notch in Taiwan as their debut album <掌心> went platinum. The award-winning album subsequently went on to win seven awards in the Malaysia Music Award in Nov 2001. |
After a few splendid and successful years together as a duo in the Chinese music scene, during which the pair bagged countless awards for their success, Michael and Victor then decided it was time to part cordially and go their own ways in the music scene as solo singers in year 2000. Now a solo artiste with Rock Records, Victor has currently four solo albums under his belt, the latest being <愛到無可救藥>. He had since also expanded his repertoire with his acting abilities in Taiwanese drama productions the likes of <男男女女> and Victor is currently based in Taiwan.
