Fully Alive: Pioneering Change for Children in Rural Philippines

Escape from city life and go off the beaten track into finding yourself,  communities and hope in the far flung corner of Panay Island. Located in the western Visayas region of the Philippines, community members in Antique largely depend on farming and fishing for livelihood. In several vulnerable families, men and boys risk their lives and futures working as sakadas, or sugarcane farmers, in harsh conditions.

In spite of impoverished conditions, discover resourcefulness and resilience in communities who have been introduced to income generating activities like quail farming, Tilapia fishing and first aid to protect their little ones.  Grab a chance to volunteer and teach children, while discovering perspective, empathy and a sense of community. On the way back, do a pit stop in Malalison Island where you can enjoy stunning views and islets accessible only at low tide. Malalison has waters teeming with marine life, as well as an unspoilt white sand beach for swimming
