As Typhoon Ketsana approaches Cambodia, it is predicted to hit the northern part of Cambodia including Kampong Thom, Preahvihear, where World Vision has operations in.
It is also expected to hit Mondulkiri, Ratanakkiri, Kratie and Stung Sen provinces where World Vision does not have projects in.
In total, more than 11,000 sponsored children could be affected by the storm.
WV Cambodia has issued a warning to its operation teams in the projects that will be affected. Kampong and Preahvihear experienced flooding two weeks ago. They are preparing for the incoming storm and will activate the World Vision National Disaster Preparedness Plan as needed.
