"I have been asked a question many a time, 'Who is your hero?' I say, my hero does not depend on
the position a person occupies. My heroes are those simple men and women who have committed
themselves to fighting poverty whenever that is to be found in the world."  Nelson Mandela
Child Sponsorship Programme

Child Sponsorship provides for the children education, health, food security and development programmes.

It takes only S$45.00 a month to sponsor a child. That’s about S$1 per student!

When you sponsor a child, you will receive a picture folder, which has a photograph of the child and a brief description of the child's background. Also, you will receive a yearly progress report on the child and can correspond and even visit the child in his/her community!Students have great joy in having a picture folder of their child put up on their class notice board, alongside correspondence from the child. It serves as a personal and constant reminder to them how large this world is.

30 Hour Famine Programme

The 30 Hour Famine is an international student movement. In Singapore, it is a chance for young people to gain awareness on global issues and respond in making a stand against hunger, poverty and disease.

During the camp, students fast for 30 hours and are also involved in community help work. The money collected will be used to provide for needy children around the world.

The Famine is THE interschool event of the year and it is proof that our generation won't just stand by and let people go hungry.

Be A World Vision School Partner

There are many other ways you can partner us!

Other joint CIP projects include old clothes and newspaper collection, car-washes, organising food and funfairs. Give us a call and together we can see how to cook up a project that is both fun and meaningful.

Teachers may also want to involve their students in an Overseas Community Project whereby the students serve in a community supported through World Vision for about one week. Students learn valuable lessons about themselves and their communities in this global classroom of Life.
