Christmas is a time of joy and hope. And while most of us look forward to Christmas presents and year-end bonuses, impoverished children and families around the world worry about not having enough to eat or affording medical care when they fall sick.
You and I have the means to provide life-saving options for these little children. World Vision’s Tree of Life campaign will enable you to share your love for the poor in a meaningful and tangible way.
The Tree of Life is a child sponsorship campaign that comes alive only during Christmas. Through the Tree of Life, you can sponsor one or more needy children from Asia and Africa.
Help needy children! Set up a Tree of Life in your office or church premises
Your office or church can set up a Tree of Life (a ‘life-giving’ Christmas tree) within your premises to give colleagues or church members an opportunity to sponsor children from Asia and Africa.
The Tree of Life is actually a Christmas tree whereby photo cards of children who are waiting to be sponsored are featured around the tree. Anyone within your premises can choose a photo card of a child and sign up as a child sponsor.
Through World Vision’s Child Sponsorship Programme, donated funds are pooled together to provide basic essentials like clean water, nutritious food, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities to children, families and their communities.
