Join World Vision in our Gifts-In-Kind Programme

An estimated 1.2 million children are trafficked each year. They are tricked, kidnapped, lured and sent into slavery or the sex industry. 20 million children have been forced to flee their homes because of conflict. World Vision supports and works with some of these children for rehabilitation through shelters and child-friendly spaces that provide care and assistance. World Vision provides “Kids Kits” which help the children through their rehabilitation, giving them an opportunity to play, socialise, learn and express their feelings. World Vision aims to provide S$100,000 worth of “Kids Kits” from products donated by organisations and schools in Singapore to enable vulnerable children to have the opportunity to feel safe, to socialise, to learn and to play.

Since the programme began in April 2007, World Vision Singapore has achieved its targeted procurement of 2,000 such school kits.Three companies - Advantest Pte Ltd, Kian Min Travel and World Asia Publishing (M) Sdn Bhd in partnership with students/pupils from Greentree Montessori, Anglo Chinese Junior College, CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ Primary, Methodist Girl’s School have donated a total of 2,610 Kids Kits valued at S$27,478.68 to children in Laos.

These kids kits donation will be distributed to children in programme in Vietnam and Laos, Assisted through World Vision Singapore. To help, please complete the Donate School Supplies Form and fax it to 6512-1963 or email to mandy@worldvision.org.sg.

We need your help to support children in crisis
Each Kids Kit MUST contain the following items in the stated quantities:

Wooden Pencils with or without design (1 box of 12)

Blue or Black ball point pen (1 box of 12)

Notebook, A5 size (2)

Pencil Sharpener (1)

Soft Eraser (1)

Wooden or Plastic Ruler, 6 inch (1)

Crayons (1 box of 12)

Colour Pencils (1 box of 12)

A Plastic bag to hold all the 8 items

A School Bag – Backpack type (1)

1. Each Kids Kit must come with a shipping cost of S$5.00.
2. As a general guideline, we request that each participating organisation donate a minimum of 500 Kids Kits, together with $2,500.00 to cover shipping costs.
