Jane Peng takes on Sahara Race 2010 in support of VisionFund

Jane – a passionate fundraiser with a long-standing commitment to humanitarian causes – will be fundraising for VisionFund’s ongoing humanitarian work by taking on the Sahara Race! This 7-day, 250 kilometre (150-mile) foot race has been listed as one of the world’s top 10 toughest endurance races by TIME magazine. Competitors will have to navigate the desert plains and sand dunes on foot and support themselves by carrying everything they need on their own.  The Sahara Race will take place 3 - 9 October 2010.

About Jane:

Thriving on the nomadic trend of the 21st century, Jane grew up in London, Singapore, Scotland, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and upstate New York. Upon hitting her university days, Jane co-ordinated and completed the first ever student-led cycling expedition, which spanned 1,000 kilometres along the Nile River. She also ventured out on a solo trip to Argentina that ultimately led her to Antarctica. Her journey has been featured by Quark Expeditions, a leading polar adventuring company. Apart from these expeditions, Jane holds a black belt in karate and is an avid photography hobbyist. She emerged as a top finalist in an international photography competition jointly held by National Geographic. What’s more, her works have also been selected for exhibitions by Singapore’s National Arts Council.
